Champions Run Summer Camp

Program Overview & Parent Guide

Daily Camp Experience

No two days at Champions Run Summer Camp are ever the same. Each day is thoughtfully planned to keep campers active, engaged, and excited from drop-off to pick-up.

We begin every morning with Camp Kickoff, a group welcome where campers connect with counselors, review the day’s activities, and start the day on a positive note. At the end of the day, we gather for Camp Wrap-Up, a time to reflect, enjoy a snack, and wind down before heading home.

Throughout the day, campers rotate through a variety of age-appropriate activities designed to encourage movement, creativity, teamwork, and confidence.

Activities May Include:

  • Golf – One recreational group session per week

  • Tennis – One recreational group session per week

  • Swimming – Daily recreational swim time

  • Arts & Crafts

  • Group Games & Team Challenges

  • Hands-On Food Fun

  • STEM-Based Activities & Problem Solving Challenges

Activities are adapted based on age, weather, and group needs to ensure a fun and safe experience for every camper.

Lunch & Snacks

Champions Run provides a kid-friendly lunch to all campers each day. Families may choose to send a packed lunch instead if preferred. Lunches should be packed in a labeled cooler or backpack. An afternoon snack is provided daily. Families are welcome to send additional snacks if desired.

Nut Awareness

Champions Run Summer Camp is a nut-aware program.
Please do not send any food items that contain nuts. All lunches and snacks provided by the club will be nut-free.

If your child has food allergies or dietary restrictions, please contact us so we can assist.

What to Wear & Bring

Campers are required to wear their official Champions Run camp shirt each day. Campers should dress comfortably and be ready to move.

Please Pack (labeled backpack or bag):

  • Water bottle

  • Swimsuit

  • Towel

  • Sunscreen (spray preferred for body)

  • Hat or cap

  • Tennis shoes

  • Golf clubs (encouraged, not required)

  • Tennis racquet (encouraged, not required)

Swimming Safety

If your child is a non-swimmer or you prefer they be classified as such, please pack a flotation vest for shallow-water use.

Important Notes

  • Please leave electronic devices, cell phones, and valuables at home

  • Camp is an opportunity to unplug and be present

  • All personal items should be clearly labeled

Champions Run is not responsible for lost or damaged items. Unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the summer.

If your child has special needs or may require additional support, please contact us prior to registration so we can ensure a successful camp experience.

Camper Forms & Health Information

During online registration, families will complete:

  • Camper Information Form

  • Health History Form

All forms must be completed before your child may attend camp.

If you need assistance with registration or forms, please contact us and we will be happy to help.

Arrival & Pick-Up Procedures

Drop-off and pick-up details will be emailed prior to each camp session.

  • Campers must be checked in and out by a parent or authorized guardian

  • Campers may not check themselves in or out

  • Early pick-ups must be communicated to the Camp Director in advance

If your child is participating in other club activities during the day, arrangements may be made for transitions. Champions Run staff are not responsible for supervision during non-camp activities.

Camper Expectations

To help create a positive camp environment, we ask families to review the following expectations with their camper:

  • Stay with your group and follow counselor instructions

  • Use kind and respectful language

  • Keep hands and feet to yourself

  • Respect others’ belongings

  • Help care for club facilities and equipment

  • Treat others the way you want to be treated

  • Laugh, smile, and try new things

Camp is a place to grow, make friends, and have fun.

Behavior & Discipline

Champions Run Summer Camp is built on respect, safety, and positivity. Behavior that disrupts the camp environment may result in consequences, including dismissal from camp.

The Camp Director will communicate with families if behavior concerns arise. If issues cannot be resolved, Champions Run reserves the right to dismiss a camper. No refunds will be issued for dismissals due to behavior.

Our Camp Team

Our camp staff includes experienced counselors, educators, coaches, and college students pursuing related fields. Each camp session is led by a Camp Director and supported by trained counselors.

All staff members:

  • Are CPR and First Aid certified

  • Many Team members are also lifeguard certified

  • Complete background checks

  • Receive training and orientation

  • Follow Champions Run policies and standards

We welcome feedback and open communication with families throughout the summer.

Sun Safety

Campers should arrive each day with sunscreen already applied. Please pack sunscreen so staff can assist with reapplication as needed. Cream sunscreen or face sticks are encouraged for facial use.

Swimming & Aquatics Safety

Campers participate in daily recreational swim. On the first swim day, campers will complete a swim assessment and be placed into an appropriate swim group.

Swim groups are determined by ability and safety level. Lifeguards are on duty at all times, and camp counselors actively supervise both on deck and in the water.

If you prefer your child to be treated as a non-swimmer, please notify the Camp Director.

Junior Sports Integration

Champions Run Summer Camp is designed to complement and enhance our Junior Sports programs. We strongly encourage campers to participate in all three core junior sports offerings during the summer:

  • Swim & Dive

  • Golf

  • Tennis

Campers who are enrolled in junior sports will be able to participate in their scheduled practices or sessions during the camp day. Camp counselors are responsible for safely escorting campers to and from all junior sports activities, ensuring smooth transitions and supervision throughout the day.

This integrated approach allows campers to experience the best of Champions Run by combining structured sports instruction with the fun, social, and engaging environment of summer camp.

If your child is registered for junior sports, please make sure this information is included during camp registration so we can plan schedules accordingly.

Illness & Emergency Procedures

  • Campers showing signs of illness should remain home until symptom-free for 24 hours

  • Minor injuries will be treated with First Aid and shared at pick-up

  • Families will be contacted immediately for significant illness or injury

In the event of an emergency requiring medical care, parents will be notified immediately and emergency services will be contacted. Any medical costs incurred are the responsibility of the family.

Medication should be administered at home whenever possible. If medication is required during camp hours, it must be provided in the original container with proper authorization forms completed.

Communication

Families will receive:

  • A pre-camp welcome email

  • Weekly emails with schedules, reminders, and updates

  • Text Alerts

Camp Directors are available for questions at drop-off and pick-up, and we encourage open communication throughout the summer.
